Job Responsibilities and Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Manages allGeneral Accounting to include the management of CSMCF and AffiliatedStand-Alone Groups ManagesAccounting Team to ensure accurate, informative and timely reporting offinancial statements. CalculatesMonthly IBNR Accruals CalculatesMonthly FFS Accruals to ensure accurate revenue and AR balances Assist in thefinancial modeling of new business and organization strategic goals andinitiatives Oversees allentries associated with CSMC intercompany transactions to include salarychargebacks, directorships, outreach programs, etc. works with CSMC accountingdept to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of intercompanytransactions Assist with thepreparation of all Stand Alone Financial Reporting Packages to includeFinancial, PSA, Dashboard and RVU Analysis. Assist with developmentand implementation of financial policies and procedures for MDN Assist with themanagement of the annual E&Y audit as well as internal audits,healthplan audits and DMHC audits Primary lead andMDN representative for all PeopleSoft related projects to includeUpgrades, Testing and ongoing optimization Assist with thepreparation of the annual budget for CSMCF, MNS and Affiliated Groups Assist with thepreparation of approx. 150 tax filings and governmental reportingrequirements to include working with CSMC and E&Y on the preparationof the CSMCF Form 990, Federal and State Tax Filings and the preparationof quarterly and annual Department of Managed Health Care SB260 reports Other specialprojects and assignments as required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Seven to ten (7 10) years relevant work experience in accounting or finance departments, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare accounting or financial management experience in strongly preferred. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a broad understanding of GAAP and healthcare accounting. Ability to manage supervisory and staff level personnel. Ability to provide financial data for analytical evaluation of business operations. Knowledge of PC applications including advance excel skills is required. Must be organized and able to meet ongoing as well as special time deadlines and work under pressure. PeopleSoft Accounting experience is preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose financial reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and executive directors.
