This position is based in St. Louis and may require travel DTA (short term or Domestic Temporary Assignment) and/or permanent relocation in support of testing to alternate test sites (e. g. , Pax River NAS; China Lake NAS; Eglin AFB; Nellis AFB; Edwards AFB; Palmdale, CA; etc. ). This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Working knowledge of flight testing and one to three years of experience Experience in aircraft instrumentation systems, on-aircraft ground tests, and flight test operations. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelors of Science degree or higher in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering preferredThe successful candidate will need to have excellent leadership, team building, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction They must be comfortable at coordinating with people from various technical disciplines in St. Louis and remote sites Working knowledge of E-mail, file sharing, teleconferences, and virtual meetings as used for coordination and test planning A working understanding of Military Flight Test Processes Experience working with Advanced Design or Phantom Works teams Experience with DOD (Department of Defense) remote sites Experience in creating task descriptions; problem solving; integration of aircraft equipment/mission system configuration changes; multi-functional communication; and working in a team environment with a foreman, flight mechanics, or electricians Typical Education/Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
