Job Responsibilities and Requirements: As an Income Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of interest and dividend events for Private Banking clients. Responsibilities include but not limited to: ensuring the timely and accurate processing of dividends and interest related to domestic and international fixed income securities, equities, American Depositary Receipts and any associated tax transactions. You will be required to ensure that all related activity is accurately and efficiently posted to client accounts. Ensure all inquiries are addressed within service levels, and that all daily internal proofs relating to the general ledgers are accurate, and out of balance conditions are investigated and resolved within service levels. Who we do it for: The Asset Service group provides these services to Clients, tax administrators, Client Service Specialists, portfolio managers and our custodians, while meeting the established deadlines as required. Core Responsibilities Process both global and domestic payments Ensure that payments are posted to client s accounts Identify and analyze asset and cash breaks and resolve timely Process tax status confirmations Provide responses to daily inquires as required Complete pre-reconciliation process daily Process BUW payments as necessary Coordinate issues and resolve with custodian Process repatriation for global payments Verify all daily internal proofs are accurate Potential Responsibilities Project participation Identify potential enhancements to income service process Analyze automation opportunities Cross train new staff members Update procedures documents Enhance communication with service partners Required Experience/Skills Ability to complete tasks with strict deadlines Have strong analytical skills and think out of the box Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong PC skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Ability to work in fast-paced high volume environment Be able to work within a team environment Have excellent organizational and time management skills Preferred Experience/Skills Accounting/Finance Background Tax withholding knowledge a plus Proficient in Excel and Word Previous securities experience Experience with the asset service process Knowledge of foreign markets College degree or three to five years equivalent work experience.
