Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The intern will also get exposure to what audits are like in the professional world. This will entail types of audit requests, an understanding of the volume of work associated with audits and attending audit meetings. This internship will also touch upon what it s like to implement a new application that is needed for adopting the new lease standard. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations and submit for approval Prepare documentation as requested by the company s auditors Assist in account analysis Assist in adhoc requests by management This position begins Summer/May 2019 EDUCATION: Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting QUALIFICATIONS: Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution. Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week between the days/hour: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
