Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Data Analyst, Sr. provides expertise in business requirements for the organization s HEDIS data reporting and analysis in the Quality Analytics Department. Responsible for conducting quality assurance on data collection, data processing, data analysis, and reporting. This incumbent is also responsible for conducting HEDIS results analysis based on business needs and presenting the results effectively to internal and external stakeholders and senior management. Position Responsibilities Maps multiple data sources for HEDIS reporting; generates reports from the data warehouse and HEDIS software. Conducts quality assurance on data loaded into the HEDIS software reviews results for accuracy and prepares for annual HEDIS compliance audits. Maintains and builds new databases as needed. Guides other Data Analysts on evaluating data and meeting customer specifications and business needs. Provides support to the Quality Analytics department projects that require HEDIS data and analysis. Maintains a thorough knowledge of s data. Provides feedback to Information Systems (IS) to resolve data integrity issues and to support reporting requirements. Prepares ad-hoc analyses and work on special projects. Comments on proposed HEDIS measure requirements; changes for plan level or programs specific reporting as requested. Provide technical support for HEDIS sampling, medical records retrieval and reviewing Other projects and duties as assigned. Required Skills Present information in a user-friendly format and be able to clearly analyze and explain content. Work with complex data sources. Perform senior-level data quality assessment and analyses. Work independently and as part of a team, under minimal supervision and with multiple deadlines. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including trainings and public presentations. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the Quality Analytics staff, other departments (i.e. IS), and various external customers. Effectively utilize appropriate software and interact as-needed with Information Systems. Required Experience Experience & Education Bachelor s degree in Health Care Administration, Public Health or a related field is required; Master s degree preferred. Health care data reporting and analysis experience is required. Minimum 3 years previous HEDIS reporting experience is required. Minimum five (5) years professional experience in a managed health care organization. Prior experience with HEDIS software preferred.
