Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Responsibilities Meeting Sales Goals Acting as a key sales leader and contributor for the industrial products sales teams to ensure sales plan is achieved in volume and price Working with the Business Manager to set aggressive but attainable sales and volume goals Industrial Products Segment Profitability Understanding of the drivers of business profitability Executing on sales and product strategies to meet financial commitments Identifies and executes against opportunities to improve business profitability Contributes to mid-month estimates and quarterly forecasts for the industrial products segment Client Relationships Develops relationships within client organizations Sales Organization Management Day-to-day leadership of the account representatives and sales assistants supporting the sales team Establishing and implementing best practices in sales effectiveness Talent management, including the performance assessment process, talent development and succession planning for direct reports Act as the backup lead resource in the account manager's absence Collaboration with Operations & Logistics Sales planning be a key contributor in industrial products sales planning and work collaboratively with operations throughout the process, resulting in achievement of plan Quality ensure sales team has excellent information about customer requirements and work with operations and logistics to establish clear quality metrics to improve the organizations ability to meet customer's quality expectations Complaints & Claims participate in the process for responding to client complaints and claims. Work with operations and logistics to ensure that these are responded to with a sense of urgency and that root causes are identified and addressed Understand, fully embrace, and model 's core values; \Sawdust in the Veins\ (have a passion for the business and our customers), work from a \Handshake Integrity\ and be \Driven to Win Required Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of experience in building product sales and/or sales leadership Demonstrated ability to develop and execute against sales plans Strong selling skills including listening, questioning techniques, identifying buying signals & negotiating Have a proven sales record A comprehensive understanding of the product portfolio as well as our value over the competition Good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of our key competitors Understanding of business finances and demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to business profitability improvement Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and align with other functional groups in an organization Ability to deliver world class customer service Ability to work in various computer platforms (Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel) Positive demeanor and the ability to lead and\/or function within a team Ability to multi-task in a changing, fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal skills Understand and exhibit a sense of urgency Strong self-motivation and organizational skills Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing.
