Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job duties & key accountability: The senior finance leader located in Herndon, VA. Develops and manages the workforce of financial project control professionals to meet monthly closing schedule. Provides effective staff training and oversight. Oversees monthly closing requirements to include revenue recognition, cost and expense reporting, receivables, EACs, unbilled reconciliations, backlog, other in accordance with GAAP and FAR. Participates/manages task order proposal pricing Ensures accurate monthly customer deliverables Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of complex financial analysis. May interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and give status reports. Manages receivables to meet cash flow objectives with associated analysis/reconciliations. Manages responses to external and internal audit requests. Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to management. Monitors/reports on business performance at multiple levels and in response to ad hoc reporting. Analyzes, interprets and presents financial data demonstrating proactive communication of actual or potential trends and material events. Works closely with peers across the enterprise to implement company-wide initiatives. Participates in forums to improve systems and financial performance Positions Requirements: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, with minimum twelve years of experience with financial planning, analysis and operations in a government contracting setting. Strong analytical and communication skills are required, with solid project planning and people management experience. Individual must be a proactive problem-solver and strong team player. Requires experience with FAR, CAS, DCAA, GAAP and SOX compliance. Proficiency in PeopleSoft financial systems a plus. Occasional Travel is required for this role Software proficiency in Excel and Word are necessary. Clearance level needed: None but ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
