Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Summary: The Controller/Chief Accounting Officer plans and directs accounting activities within the accounting, accounts payable, and payroll departments. Essential Functions: Manages the Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll departments. Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures. Supervises and participates in the preparation of various internal and external financial statements and reports. Directs the maintenance of the general and subsidiary ledgers, including accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accounts payable. Coordinates the preparation of external audit materials, and oversees the external audit process. Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of goals, policies, procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems. Reviews financial statements with management staff. Requirements Experience: Minimum ten years' related healthcare management experience or equivalent combination of education and healthcare experience/training Education: Masters degree in Finance or Accounting Licensure/Certification: Certified Public Accountant Supervision: Manages the function and personnel of the departments.
