Job Responsibilities and Requirements: We are seeking a Senior IP Practice Assistant to support the Patent Group in the Austin office. This position is a great opportunity to work for a large international law firm. Primary responsibilities include opening new matters, prepare client reporting letters and emails, creating shells for Office Action responses, accessing and researching a variety of patent databases, running and reviewing timekeeper docket reports, setting calendar alerts and tasks for timekeepers, maintaining electronic files, preparing expense reimbursements, entering time, and other assigned IP and admin related duties. This position requires of 1-2 years of patent prosecution experience, which should include such responsibilities as managing patent dockets, handling patent searches, drafting responses to office actions and related patent prosecution tasks. Successful candidate will have excellent client service skills with superior verbal and written communication abilities. Candidates must have high technical proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office Suite, be team oriented and, once trained, must handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. The ability to pay close attention to detail and produce accurate work product are critically important in this position. Successful candidate will have work experience in an environment where outstanding interpersonal skills and top quality services were high priorities. Professional demeanor in all situations is required. Our culture includes business casual attire. College degree and paralegal certification preferred.
