Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section. The Senior Pricing Analyst creates, maintains and inputs pricing data into the price and discount management system. Processes customer price adjustments, discounts, promotions and other items that impact cost and margin. Works closely with sales, business development and other departments to ensure products carry the correct pricing per terms with customers, promotions and other items that impact pricing; resolves customer expected pricing discrepancies to prevent errors. Other responsibilities include: communication of pricing information/issues, coverage of pricing help line and maintenance of the pricing system and processes. Responsibilities Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows: Back up to the pricing manager. Governs the Open Pricing Deduction Report by resolving deductions. Oversees continued pricing process improvements. Trains new team members, customer Service, sales, customers, and others required to understand Pricing Structures. Liaison for Customers to investigate Pricing issues. Maintains all aspects of pricing, ensuring that the company business goals of growth, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction are met. Manages the daily, weekly and monthly administrative functions required to support and validate the pricing structure. Liaison with customer service and business development management to ensure all system parameters are updated and reflecting accurate pricing at all times. Reviews and validates Blacksmith programs as it relates to invoice pricing. Administers pricing audits for internal and external groups. Provides pricing activities to Accounting, Sales and Customer Service, by working with Business Development management and the Financial Planning team. Provides analysis to ensure competitive and acceptable pricing levels and conformity to company pricing standards. Performs special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions Bachelor s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and 5 years of experience and/or training; required. 2 years prior experience in manufacturing and/or consumer packaged goods, required. Knowledge of accounting/finance systems and financial and business principles. Demonstrated knowledge of SAP, Blacksmith and Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Access and Outlook. Strong analytical and variance analysis skills. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal departments and external vendors. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of database management. Understanding of systems integration for moving data from one system to another. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
