Global Provision Tax Analyst

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The responsibilities of this position may include, and not be limited to: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Responsible for managing FIN 48 uncertain tax position database and maintaining FIN 48 reserve documentations and memos.Prepare tax account reconciliations and various tax rollforward schedules.Assist with the preparation of audit packages, tax footnote disclosures, and SOX documentation.Assist with implementation of tax law changes, process improvements, planning, and other ad hoc projects as required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA or Masters in Tax is a plus.2 years of relevant corporate tax experience with corporate tax department/large CPA firm.Team player, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Highly organized, attentive to detail, strong analytical, research and computer skills.Experience with Oracle Applications and CorpTax a plus. As part of Oracle's standard employment process, candidates will undergo a complete background check prior to an offer being extended. These background checks are conducted by a professional third party firm at no charge to the applicant and include: prior employment verification, education verification, social security trace, criminal background check and motor vehicles records (where required for position). Oracle Supports Workforce Diversity Compiles information for statutory reports as well as internal tax reporting. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.Be an integral partner in Oracles business decisions to enhance shareholder value by providing tax-related advice globally to all business units. Assist with governmental audits, internal audits and/or fiscal recharges. Ensure company complies with worldwide statutory tax reporting specifications. Focus areas include transfer pricing and intercompany transactions. identify international assignment tax issues for employees working in another country. Develop strategies to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting Oracle. Detail oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. 5 plus years experience in public accounting firm and/or high technology industry. CPA and or MS/MBA tax preferred.
