Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsible for development of IT security policies, periodic verification of policy compliance, performance of technical risk assessments, and acting as a technical lead on all security related initiatives. This position would also be responsible for development and execution of a cyber-security awareness program and plan. This position is not administrative or expected to perform this type work but it will be focused on assessing the risks and participating in developing the policies to protect AIX Group, its customers and their information. This is a Full-time, Exempt role. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: - Ensures compliance with and provide input to security policies, standards and procedures. Conducts all tasks in accordance with the requirement to comply with security controls. - Designs key security processes and initiatives with minimal technical direction. - Collaborates with appropriate customers and peers to understand business requirements and define secure requirements and/or solutions - Researches and provides input to Security strategy - Instills a sense of urgency in driving assignments to completion. Monitors progress of self and others and redirects efforts when goals are not being met. - Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines the process by which to meet these goals. - Proactively shares timely updates and information with relevant parties - Other duties as applies POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or related degree. Candidates with equivalent years of experience will also be considered. - Requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience - Experience with log management, analysis and reporting tools preferred. - Certifications security and/or network specific preferred. - Experience with firewalls, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection systems preferred. - Display an in depth understanding of new trends and technologies related to IT Security and Compliance. - Deep security knowledge in key areas such as: Firewalls, Mobility, IDS, IPS, VPN, Remote Access, Security Logging, Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Response, Penetration testing. - Additional security expertise in endpoint security, including: Anti-Virus protection, desktop encryption, device management, patching, etc. - Solid understanding and discipline in following processes and procedures. - Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues in technologies or process deficiencies. - Demonstrated project management skills. - Working knowledge and experience with networking concepts, protocols, and services. - Working knowledge and experience in setup, maintenance, and security of all current operating systems. - Demonstrated ability to maintain utmost confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical persons. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Advanced knowledge of systems engineering with proficiencies in two of the following: Windows, Linux EEO.
