Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Summary Responsible for establishing new escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. Acts as subject matter expert and team resource for escalated issues. Coordinates work flow, provides input to supervisor on hiring and performance related issues.Essentials FunctionsResponsible for establishing new escrow accounts and develops escrow documents in accordance with established policies and proceduresResponsible for managing a portfolio of assigned escrow customers and brokers. Provides high level of customer service and develops ongoing escrow referrals for large dollar escrow transactionsMaintain records in the escrow accounting system and customer database Opens the most complex and large dollar size escrow transactions which meet the Bank's requirements; develops and/or obtains the appropriate escrow documentation in accordance with policy and procedures and applicable statutory and Federal regulations.Manages the largest escrow customers and brokers as their relationship manager; provides customer service and develops ongoing escrow referrals. Exercises appropriate judgment to identify potential legal and operating risks, and works with legal counsel to mitigate exposureActs as the team resource and subject matter expert to answer questions and create resolutions using past experience, best practices and sound judgment Assists in scheduling and coordinating team activitiesMay provide input into hiring and performance appraisals, but does not make hiring decisions or conduct performance evaluations Troubleshoots and guides others on wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise Job Complexities Assignments are moderately complex in nature Has latitude for un-reviewed action or decision Acts in advisory capacity, making recommendations which may have an important bearing on the conduct of the organizations businessSupervision Received or ExtendedNo formal supervisory responsibility but provides guidance, mentoring and leadership to less experienced team members May assign tasks and monitor work flowWork reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy Works independently setting own priorities and objectives with supervisory consultation. Work reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry fieldKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications Strong client relations and organizational skills Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeDetail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information Ability to deal with multiple types of roles such as real estate sellers, buyers, agents and brokers Demonstrated leadership, organizational and problem solving skills Typical Education High School diploma or equivalent Some college preferred Escrow Officer certification from the Escrow Association or completion of escrow Typical Range of Experience 5-7 years experience as an Escrow Officer Specialized knowledge in one or more escrow product areas.
