Job Responsibilities and Requirements: As the Help Desk Technician , you will be responsible for providing support, communication, and records for repairs, as well as troubleshooting, analyzing, and maintaining the computer system, terminal, network, and peripheral equipment relating to computers and network hardware and software. You will perform analysis and administrative tasks in the planning, design, and installation of new and existing personal computer-based applications. You will also troubleshoot and modify PC software applications. Additionally, you will: Work independently or as a team member, under the supervision of IT management, in the daily execution of tasks necessary to meet IT quality and scheduled goals of the company Isolate, resolve, and follow up with end users to resolve technical problems Prepare systems for deployment to end users, including configuration and setup Load required software, operating systems, and components Perform routine preventative maintenance on all computer system equipment Document all procedures used to fix or correct problems Diagnose and repair problems following defined guidelines and procedures Participate in special projects, hardware and software installations, backup and recovery procedures, wiring and network fundamentals, and other duties Track and manage equipment and stock inventory, including escalating stock level replenish needs Work in a manufacturing environment You'll Need to be Successful: More than 2 years of experience working in a computer-related field; applicable years of academic school or internships may substitute for experience High school diploma or the equivalent Meet the ITAR definition of a US person Working knowledge of remote connectivity software such as RDP, Citrix, and Cisco VPN Basic understanding of Cisco switches, routers, and TCP/IP networking Experience with Active Directory, administration, the creation of user accounts, and Internet email Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to present in a competent, efficient manner in dealing with the various levels of company personnel Competitive spirit and willingness to learn Ability to work in a supportive, fast-paced team environment with a strong commitment to accountability Ability to frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds Ability to work in a loud work environment Ability to use required personal protection equipment (PPE) Great Additional Skills: CompTIA A certification or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certification.
