Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This opportunity because you will Manage the overall inventory and sales forecast for a business department and create/action strategies to drive performance to budget (Open-to-Buy). Reforecast SKU sales to trend and urgently align supply with that forecast to maximize revenue-- chasing, pushing, cancelling. Project & plan a full sales and inventory rollup for future seasons. Manage placement of purchase orders to support your business. Recommend exit strategies for non-productive inventory. Work closely with Merchandising to determine departmental sales projections and product assortments. Analyze product performance and drive recommendations on future assortments. Participate in cross-departmental training of new associates. Must be able to clearly and concisely present analytical data and propose solutions in an organized manner to groups. Establish and maintain strong lines of vendor communication. Information communicated will include: sales forecasts, production capacity, shipping guidelines. Participate in the development and implementation of new planning systems. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS We're excited about you because 1-5 years experience in a role with analytical/strategic responsibilities - Retail experience a plus. BA/BS required, Finance, Accounting, or Retail Management preferred. Strong technical and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel a must. Ability to communicate effectively.
