Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This role will focus on building and maintaining acquisition models to deliver card acquisition goals while satisfying all control requirements. In addition, the incumbent in this role will identify and materialize model opportunities from data exploration and method innovation (e.g., machine learning) to improve card acquisition results, and translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies More specifically the responsibilities for the VP position in the Acquisition Modeling Team include: Develop, maintain and improve industry leading targeting and behavioral models that deliver business results that meet and exceed our goals. Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings. Continuously improve modeling and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, capabilities and processes. Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving models and strategies Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Business, Technology or related quantitative field (Masters preferred). Expertise in Machine Learning methods (e.g., Deep Learning, GBM, SVM) Extensive experience with Python and R Quick learner of new technologies and business knowledge Demonstrated ability in data retrieving and manipulation as well as proficient analytical skills. Drive to win and proactive working attitudes, and passion for innovation Effective communication skills. Good project management skills Digital analytical work experience in financial service industry is a plus. Familiarity with C and Java and working knowledge of SAS, SQL and other statistical software is a plus.
