Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Own and design RF topologies for implementation of complex IT solutions, which carry proprietary real-time life critical data and are required to reliably output to hospital IT environments Provide consultation to healthcare institutions on wireless strategies and integration into hospital network infrastructure Communicate complex RF designs to local implementation teams to ensure acceptable (QOS) Quality of Service once in production. Provide technical system configurations of RF infrastructure to ensure viability of system performance and review design changes of solution alongside the local implementation team when necessary. Direct a diverse team of internal and external installation resources as it pertains to wireless infrastructure. Shares responsibility of successful project completion with the assigned Project Manager and project team. Candidate Qualifications: BS Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Biomed disciplines with at least 5 years of experience or AS Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Biomed with at least 8 years of experience in Healthcare / IT environments preferred. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: RF wireless experience completing analysis and design for robust wireless coverage CCDA/CCDP and/or CWDP preferred Extensive knowledge of Patient Monitoring systems as reflected in completion of formal vendor training desired. Influence internal and external resources to a stated objective without formal lines of authority. Effectively communicate to CXO level management - internal and external. Effectively translate customer needs and priorities into solutions Deliver required results with high levels of customer satisfaction, both internal and external. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment. Ability to travel up to 40% where the projects require. Philips is seeking a RF Design Engineer for the Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions group. The RF design engineer will fill the role of post sales, services technical expert that will provide Philips supplied RF design on PCSM deals. The RF design engineer will utilize RF design tools to complete and standardize these deliverables. They will also ensure the local technical teams have configurations, topologies, and ordering lists to implement complete solutions. Each RF design engineer will cover 2 service regions providing RF and solution expertise during the presales phase to support the sales team when expertise is needed regarding wireless topology, security, or configurations. In the post-sales space, they will provide RF topology design, configuration scripts, and ordering details of necessary infrastructure to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and infrastructure stability. Responsibilities include: Providing professional level RF design and consultation to customers pre and post-sale. Apply industry standard practices and Philips standard designs to all customers who choose Philips supplied wireless designs. Completion of all RF topologies, configurations, and infrastructure ordering details to all sold Philips solutions and ensure those designs and configurations are optimized to ensure customer satisfaction and stability to the designed and implemented solutions. Effectively collaborate with sales and service partners as well as collaborate with customers for integration into their IT environment. The solutions design engineers will report into the Director of IT solutions within the larger Philips Customer Services business.
