Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The major responsibilities of the Chief of Staff are to: Assist in facilitating effective decision-making and execution by the executive team Create and manage detailed agendas for weekly executive team meetings and regular offsites Distill and cascade executive team action items and communications Engage closely in the annual strategy, planning, and budget process Coordinate evaluation of and regular reporting on strategic cross-functional initiatives Coordinate feedback on presentations that executives will deliver at major employee, customer, and investor events Project manage key company initiatives at the CEO s request Work in our Santa Clara office during the work week and travel to selected company events attended by the executive team approximately 4x per year Job Requirements We expect candidates to have: 8 years of work experience in the tech industry Strong business acumen Demonstrated ability to drive progress on complex initiatives Track record of career advancement and increased responsibility Effective interaction with senior management Reputation within DataStax for confidentiality and professionalism Personal Attributes The successful candidate will likely have most of these attributes: Unquestionable integrity and discretion Ability to work collaboratively across departments Interest in the nexus of company strategy and operations High intellectual curiosity and attraction to problem-solving Effective project manager Preference for a dynamic, fast-paced work environment Bias to action and accountability Tremendous work ethic High self-awareness and EQ Courage to bring forward controversial topics Commitment to team success.
