Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Assume responsibility for the management of a credit portfolio of Commercial Real Estate relationships in the Private Bank. Work closely with Loan Originators to conduct required due diligence to evaluate and structure new Commercial Real Estate transactions,. Interact with clients, their financial representatives, and Private Bankers to obtain financial data and information needed to underwrite new credit transactions and maintain the existing credit portfolio. Assist the Loan Originators in championing new deals through the vetting and approval process with Risk Management. Perform credit analysis and underwriting of new deals and existing exposure (Annual Review process) under existing Product Program and Core Credit Policy guidelines. Manage the periodic covenant monitoring and compliance process for each relationship. Work with our Capital Markets desk in facilitating interest-rate swaps for respective CRE loans. Calculate capital returns and risk ratings through proprietary Bank models/systems to ensure appropriate pricing/exposure levels on new/existing transactions. Negotiate loan documentation with clients in consultation with Bank counsel.The CRE Underwriter/Portfolio Manager will report directly to the CRE Region Head (along with the other CRE Underwriters and Transactors). With respect to Development Value, the CRE Underwriter/Portfolio Manager will have the opportunity to ultimately grow into a CRE Transactor role or branch out into one of the other Investment Finance credit products. Qualifications: Excellent analytical/credit underwriting skills; ability to analyze rent rolls, commercial real estate leases, property cash flow projections, and personal financial statements of the property owners/Private Bank clients. In addition, a basic understanding of capital markets and its financial instruments. Completion of a credit training program and/or at least 2 - 3 years credit and lending experience in commercial real estate for a nationally known bank or financial institution is preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with both a team player attitude and ability to work independently. Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external clients. Mastery of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
