Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Purpose: Manage activities of a multi-craft team in providing maintenance and repair for buildings and related systems and facilities within an assigned campus area. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. Major Responsibilities: Coordinate customer service activities for assigned area to include service calls, performance of planned and preventative maintenance, major repair and renovation.Assure the optimal operation of all building components and systems within assigned area.Coordinate work requirements with other Facilities units, contractors/vendors and other outside resources.Provide estimates and budgets for minor and major project work, maintenance contracts, reimbursable work requests, and campus events.Coordinate acquisition of required materials.Supervise personnel. Schedule and assign employees and related resources and evaluate work performance.Participate in recruiting new employees; coach, counsel, train and monitor development of staff.Perform other related duties as required. Basic Qualifications: Education: Technical Diploma, Associates Degree or two years college course work.Work Experience: Six to eight years job related experienceCertifications: Valid Driver's License Skills: This job requires advanced knowledge in construction and maintenance management, project management and supervision of craft personnel. Also required is a working knowledge of the operation and maintenance requirements for building structures and components and the use of basic and specialized computer applications. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field. Preferred Work Experience: N/A Preferred Certifications: N/A Preferred Skills: N/A.
