Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Looking for an experienced transportation inspector with roadway and/or bridge construction experience. Primary responsibility includes working under the direction of the Project Engineer/Supervisor in monitoring and documenting that the road and/or bridge public work construction projects are built in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The scope of work includes the inspection and documentation of the work performed by the Department s Contractors. The inspection and documentation will be performed in accordance with the Department s Construction and Material Specifications, procedures, directives and other requirements. The inspector will monitor the construction work and advise the Project Engineer/Supervisor if either the work or materials are in compliance with the specified contract requirements. Keywords: Construction, ODOT, DOT, Roadway, Highway, Bridge, Rail, Inspection Required Qualifications Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and processes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Minimum 3 years transportation related oversight and/or inspection experience. ODOT related experience required.
