Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Analyze security software and other software commercial products to identify patents needed for each feature of the product. Develop evidence to prove identified patent being used by a product and estimate product revenue affected by those patents. Test products against security vulnerabilities threats. Determine required patents to mitigate software vulnerabilities. Work closely with business development and intellectual property law team to establish relevance of intellectual property in relation to product set or specific product of a company. Analyze portfolio of patents to identify their relevance to a software technology space and identify the most valuable patents. Utilize: firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, penetration testing, system security vulnerabilities, remediation techniques, sandboxing environments, end point protection, network monitoring tools, and file integrity. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Information Assurance or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and six (6) months of experience as a Security Specialist or related. Six (6) months of experience must include utilizing firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, penetration testing, system security vulnerabilities, remediation techniques, sandboxing environments, end point protection, network monitoring tools, and file integrity.
