Job Responsibilities and Requirements: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Drives/coordinates the solutions development process from conception to execution: Develop innovative solution offerings that leverage IDEMIA intellectual property to meet customer requirements Establish and maintain strong and appropriate relationships with key opinion leaders from Commercial and Government agencies within the biometric industry as a whole Develop and maintain a deep understanding of, and passion for the clients mission. Work across the organization to gain support in progressing innovative strategies for solutions within NORAM and global IDEMIA. Act as an interface between the Sales and Product organizations in development of new and innovative solutions. Perform product/solutions demonstrations and presentation at customer sites, conferences and show events. Provide feedback from customers to Product Management and Engineering. Promote new and innovative approaches to addressing customer business challenges Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support the Sales organization. SUPERVISION REQUIRED The Principal Pre-Sales Engineer works under the Sr. Strategic Business Solutions Manager on all assigned projects. This position will also be subject to review by other members of management, as directed, to ensure compliance with department/company objectives and policies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The person in this position does not supervise other employees but makes decision regarding: New business opportunities and solutions Market analysis and business plans Solution progress planning Cost benefit analysis of solutions Quality implementation of solutions Required Skills SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must have degree in Business Administration or comparable. Must a minimum of 5 years of Pre-Sales experience and have a good knowledge of solutions management and development processes. Must have a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful solution throughout its lifecycle Must have experience in customer interface, large scale planning, pricing/tracking systems Must have a technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and technologies. Must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. Must be able to build trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results, at all levels of the Organization; must be able to work in a team environment and to partner/interface with business executives and operations leaders in different Department/Business Units Must be able to work in environment with international objectives and to understand issues domestically and internationally in order to communicate effectively with clients Must be self-directed and motivated as well as accountable for results. Must be proactive to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation. Must be creative and innovative as well as customer-oriented. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills; must be able to prioritize workload which includes taking direction/assignments from several individuals; must be able to multi-task and to stay on top of multiple projects and activities. Must be able to have a big-picture vision and drive to make that vision a reality Must have strong personal computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, etc.) Must have excellent verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills as well as negotiation and conflict management skills; Must be able to interact with all levels in the Company and effectively communicate recommendations to Executive Management. Must be dynamic and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. DESIRABLE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in the security, defense or airspace industry Previous experience with face and finger and/or biometric technology.
