Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Manager Customer Marketing, are to: Assist with development and execution of insights-driven, retailer or channel specific shopper marketing programs that align to Bayer s brand strategies to include, but not limited to: Bayer retailer or channel specific self-care programs and platforms; Retailer-specific themed marketing events as part of their annual planning calendar; Platforms supporting new item launches; Retailer-specific promotions, such as, new store grand openings or seasonal events; Other business building in-store or out-of-store programs that will help to deliver against retailer s expectations as well as the Bayer sales team s overall business plan; Work collaboratively with Sales Strategy brand and category teams, Self Care solutions team, Visual merchandising team, Ecommerce/digital team, Shopper/Consumer Insights and appropriate brand marketing associates to support the delivery of high quality, shopper marketing solutions to the market; Support the execution of holistic solutions that intersect Bayer s and the retailer s strategies which could incorporate visual merchandising, displays, fixtures, on-line or point of sale components as part of the customer marketing plan; Manage and track all projects to ensure artwork/materials are submitted within retailer/publisher lead times; As appropriate, form a business-building relationship with the retailer marketing and insights key contacts; Monitor, track, evaluate and communicate retailer execution of shopper programs and reports findings to customer marketing team or key stakeholders, as appropriate; Support the consistent execution of requested Bayer brand messaging, equity statements and taglines; Support flawless execution of retailer-specific programs, working closely with the customer marketing and selling teams; appropriately collaborates with internal Sales Strategy, Marketing and Sales Ops team to meet customer requirements; Assist the customer marketing team in their efforts to support the customer selling team to meet annual sales and profit objectives; Attend customer meetings, as appropriate. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of progressive sales (sales operations, sales analytics, etc) or marketing experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, or Masters Degree with 4 years of progressive sales (sales operations, sales analytics, etc) or marketing experience in the consumer packaged goods industry This should include a minimum of one year of experience building strategic business plans that utilize specific resources (i.e., people, time and money) in the accomplishment of consumer sales volume and profit goals; Financial acumen: Foundational financial management skills in order to assess shopper marketing and merchandising programs; Industry expertise: Basic knowledge of retailer landscape and understanding the impact of their decisions to the total division s business and other retailers; Communication skills: Solid communication skills, able to develop clear and concise presentations; Good listening skills to ensure customer needs are accurately captured; Negotiation skills: Basic negotiating skills; developing problem solving mindset; Interpersonal skills: Results driven, but able to work well within a team environment; Self-starter and motivated to deliver against requested deadlines; organized, pays attention to detail; customer-focused; shows the ability to manage competing priorities effectively; Technical skills: Solid computer literacy skills required, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint; basic understanding of consumption data and applying insights into action needed; Must have a Valid Driver s license Ability to travel as necessary or required. Preferred Qualifications: MBA; Limited experience in the application of marketing research information (IRI, Nielsen and Custom); Customer analytics, direct selling and/or sales strategy experience.
