Job Responsibilities and Requirements: You'll have experience with the following: Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts for strategic relationships, including technology licenses, IP transactions, and development, partnership, beta, platform, cloud, XaaS, and services agreements Serving as trusted advisor to business and engineering executives Participating as a member of the business leader s extended leadership team and being the first point of contact on all legal issues for the business leaders Advising business clients on the various legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to commercial transactions, engineering, product development, and business operations Driving constant improvement to existing legal templates, licensing models, legal and business processes, and legal support models Being adept at making sound legal judgments quickly in order to facilitate business execution while minimizing risk Working on a broad range of disciplines including intellectual property, competition, privacy, marketing, licensing, and regulatory issues Our Minimum Qualifications & Experience JD and excellent academic credentials A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience structuring, drafting and negotiating complex in-bound and out-bound commercial and technology agreements; ideally a combination of large law firm and in-house experience is preferred US state bar admission in good standing Specific experience with licensing and commercial transactions involving information technology Our desired skills are: Validated excellence with regards to your legal and business judgment, technical acumen, and critical thinking Ability to excel both independently and cross-functionally Ability to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner and provide succinct legal advice Experience supporting the business in the creation of new products and solutions Experience with silicon, chips, ASICs and foundries is desired Deep knowledge of intellectual property law, commercial contracts, and business law Ability to field issues across a diverse set of legal fields Strong influencing and leadership skills, including decisiveness on both legal and business issues Sense of humor, team spirit, enthusiasm.
