Job Responsibilities and Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform all responsibilities in accordance with the current organizational goals, current team objectives and goals and the strategic plan as set by the executive management team including the company Vision, Mission and Brand Promise flywheel. Develops, recommends, implements and monitors loan programs, products, pricing, delivery channels and promotions to ensure competitiveness and growth. Creates and executes sales strategies that create an environment which acknowledges the importance of ongoing and strong member relationships. Ensure compliance with the various federal and state laws and regulations that relate to functions administered within the responsibilities of this position. Responsible for the management of all consumer loan functions of the credit union. Manages, maintains and expands service channels while promoting a strong sales and service culture with business partners. Develops and implements consistent organizational policies and procedures for Consumer Lending. Actively participates on the senior management team by contributing ideas, suggestions and/or concerns and implements new products/services and other organizational changes as needed. Responsible for developing and implementing consumer loan, credit card and home equity products that serve our growing membership. Establish a robust personnel development program through training and compensation initiatives that will ensure employees are professional, knowledgeable, courteous and able to assist our customers to meet their financial goals. Maintains effective communication with areas of responsibility to review, monitor and evaluate activities that promote operational efficiencies and service quality. Maintains an active role by having a strong presence in the financial centers and loan call centers through routine visits, meetings, conference calls, etc. Acts as liaison between department and area financial center managers to coordinate activities and schedules. In addition to direct reports, also actively coaches and mentors Financial Center managers and lenders ensuring understanding of company lending philosophies. Provides positive leadership and guidance in general and works closely with SVP/Talent and/or the appropriate HR employee(s) in personnel-related matters. Ensures all employee performance reviews within his/her areas of responsibility are completed fairly, accurately and timely. Possesses final approval authority for those performance reviews initiated within his/her area. Collaborates with Member Resolution to communicate portfolio performance, trending and development of risk mitigation techniques. Responsible for the coordination and integration of initiatives, within project teams. This includes project management, scope, requirements, testing, implementation, disaster recovery, and document control per the product methodology. Manage applicable vendor relationships and coordinate with necessary vendors to ensure GTE products and services are meeting the needs of our members. Negotiate and sign contracts within signing authority. Responsible for managing the loan underwriting policy for consumer and home equity loans and recommend changes to underwriting guidelines, as needed, to provide a quality Credit Union loan portfolio that maximizes approval rates and manages risk. Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti- Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act. Must keep up to date on any additional regulatory requirements as needed. Other Job Functions: Perform additional duties as assigned. Abides by all policies, procedures, and protocols set forth in the departmental, GTE Financial employee, operational and administrative policy manuals. Maintain, implement, and lead business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions for department. Required Skills KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the members, outside contacts, Consumer Lending team, Supervisor, and Manager. Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving. Ability to research and compile information for the purpose of recommending alternatives to processes to effectively complete job functions. Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to set priorities, analyze and evaluate situations and results. Ability to present a professional image when dealing with members, co-workers, management and outside contacts. Ability to change within working responsibilities, be it internal, market or regulatory driven. Proficient PC skills, with the ability to learn new software. Must handle various projects simultaneously and have effective project management/product development skills. Local and non-local travel required. Must demonstrate excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional team/interpersonal leadership skills. Must also demonstrate mature judgment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives and goals Must be able to see, hear, type repetitive keystrokes and speak English. Must be able to life 20 pounds and sit for extended periods of time. Required Experience EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Undergraduate degree required in Finance or Business Management. Min 10 years direct or indirect experience with at least 5 years of progressive management experience or combination of education and experience. Must possess extensive knowledge of credit card and consumer lending regulations, procedures and loan documentation. A solid foundation in underwriting, pricing and risk-based lending, and staff coaching/development are essential GTE Financial reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities as the need arises.
