Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Serve as a main point for the IP legal team and other bank colleagues; Manage intake of IP matters, including initial review and correspondence and follow-up with colleagues (within legal and other areas in throughout the bank); Manage inventory of assets/IP portfolio; Maintain matters and facilitate reporting through legal management systems; Perform preliminary research and clearance activities; Prepare applications and filings at the USPTO; Research registrations for domain names; Work with internal and external counsel and business partners to facilitate applications, filings and other actions; Track and file maintenance and renewals and facilitate payments as necessary; Manage and make payments under the bank's IP program to colleagues; Update and maintain IP information on internal communications; and Other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Basic Qualifications: Associate's degree or in lieu of an Associate's degree, must have formal paralegal training. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in at least one of the following areas of Intellectual Property Law: patent, trade secret, trademarks, trade dress or copyright. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently with limited direction and set work priorities that conform to established standard Team player that has ability to work with other team members and help influence and guide other bank colleagues Excellent interpersonal skills and judgment (including ability to interface with all levels of colleagues) Prior experience with IP docketing systems and legal management systems or equivalent management tools preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe and other legal research tools Proven analytical and organizational skills Ability to meet all deadlines as assigned and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor and producing high-quality work product Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with enterprise legal management systems and IP docketing systems preferred.
