Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities to include: Create meaningful competitive advantage for Citizens and value for customers by building and maintaining industry, market, and product expertise, delivering insightful ideas and support and creating structuring solutions for new and existing clients Advocate for transactions and influence outcomes through effective verbal and written communication skillsDevelop strong relationships internally and externally by providing excellent customer service and relevant, insightful ideas and support Exhibit Enterprise-wide thinking and behaviors; Build and maintain strong working relationships internally with credit partners, capital markets colleagues, relationship managers and sponsor coverage bankers Drive discussions with external constituents including financial sponsors, portfolio companies and prospects, other lenders and legal counselLead the deal team in the production of high quality, accurate work. Demonstrate credit expertise, through due diligence and sound judgment in the underwriting of new transactionsLead loan documentation negotiations Demonstrate good credit stewardship by proactively managing existing exposures including early identification of potential issues and preparation for Portfolio Review and WAR Maintain License to Operate in the Leveraged Loan asset class by understanding and ensuring compliance with all CFG and Leveraged Lending policies and procedures and regulatory requirementsResponsible for strong performance on all internal and external audits and reviews Complete all required compliance and regulatory training on a timely basis Responsible for all aspects of underwriting and portfolio management Sets the stage for the deal underwriting process and all aspects of due diligence and client interactions Responsible and accountable for the quality of all written submissions and all aspects of the credit approval process Ensures logical, reasonable, defensible credit arguments Represents LevFin for management meetings/due diligence Leads deal screen and approval discussions with credit and senior management Works independently and with confidence, demonstrates command of the information and the ability to think on your feet.
