Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Position Responsibilities: Supports operational customers including region leadership and branch management with quality data and analytics to influence effective decision making and achieving their financial plan. This includes but not limited to distribution opportunities; operational cost productivity, efficiencies and cost avoidance, expense management, etc. including but not limited to labor management, network optimization, dynamic routing, fleet expenses, order minimums, etc. Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting, working with a continuous improvement mindset to ensure metrics are value added and aligned with Goal Deployment objectives and financial plan. Analyzes results, emphasizing best practices and working with branch and operational management to address performance gaps. At least 25% of time spent scoping, leading and/or participating in RCI activities and events within the Region including Kaizen and CAP (Corrective Action) events, Lean Daily Management and Visual Management. Foster and support the RCI environment within the Region providing financial business partner support. Routinely meet and visit operations throughout the region (California/Nevada), understanding voice of customer and conducting process observations (i.e. as part of a Kaizen/Corrective Action Plan event, Compliance Review, market tour, etc.) to continuously improve financial support to commercial and operational customers, and find opportunities to eliminate waste. Works with Region and Branches to ensure compliance/adherence to internal controls. Conducts internal audits and works with corporate audit to help develop necessary corrective action plans to close out risk based audit findings. Hosts routine meetings with branches to discuss Operational Compliance findings and share best practices.Support Area Directors, Sales Ops Directors and Human Resource with financial labor modeling for Union/CBA Labor agreements. Support Senior Finance Manager with monthly financial reporting and analysis, including P&L cause of change, business review presentations, financial metrics and KPI reporting, volume rate & mix analysis, labor analysis, among others, proactively identifying and reporting on risks and opportunities.Support Senior Finance Manager with month-end close, flash reporting, overseeing preparation of journal entries, working with Corporate Controllers, Supply Chain Finance, Tax, A/R, A/P Payroll, Risk and other departments to ensuring the P&L is accurately stated. Support Senior Finance Manager with annual planning activities, budget key operating expenses. BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA and/or CPA is a plusGeneral understanding of US GAAP, accounting concepts and practices. Minimum 3-5 years of business finance or accounting experience required. Financial Planning & Analysis experience is a plus. Accounting or audit experience is a plus.Consumer Packaged Goods Industry experience is a plus.Strong analytical and technical skills - must be able to model business requirements and prepare what-if analyses. Good understanding of business process and analysis tools. Highly proficient (advance to intermediate skills) working in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Experience in MS Access a plus. Experience in in SAP and reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Cognos TM1 or Hyperion a plus. Demonstrate much drive and initiative, and own responsibilities. Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and be able to multi-task with little supervision. Effective English communication required. Customer service oriented.
