Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Legal Secretary supports the North American trademark group, comprised of two trademark attorneys and two paralegals in Clorox's in-house legal function. You will perform traditional administrative duties, including maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings using Outlook, ordering supplies, managing records, making travel arrangements, answering phones, photocopying, filing, sorting and delivering mail, preparing expense reports, supporting the group's accounts payable obligations through Serengeti Legal Tracker and other enterprise systems, word processing, creating and editing presentations, creating charts/tables and drafting letters and other documents using Microsoft Office. You also will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry into CPI, a trademark database platform, managing the North American trademark docket and generating reports, filing trademark applications, renewals, and requests for extension of time on the United States Trademark Office website and conducting research projects as needed. You also will support Associate General Counsel by preparing meeting agendas and minutes and managing files; and support the group's trademark enforcement and litigation matters. The position reports to Sr. Corporate Counsel. Minimum Requirements: 8 years Administrative support experience in a law firm or corporate environment (preferably a combination of the two) Must be comfortable with and embrace technology; highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (including Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel and Power Point); and other computer systems and software Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information Thorough knowledge of administrative support; highest level administrative support experienceAbility to handle complex assignments using considerable judgment, initiative and proactivity Experience with Outlook email and calendaring programTrademark Experience: Familiarity with CPI or other intellectual property database softwareFamiliarity with USPTO website Familiarity with CPI or other intellectual property database software Familiarity with USPTO websiteFamiliarity with Serengeti Legal Tracker and accounts payable systems Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills; solution oriented Ability to handle complex assignments using considerable judgment and initiative Results and detail orientationFollow through on projects and commitments with accuracy, speed and efficiency Forward-thinking; plan effectively against future needs with a process-minded continuous improvement orientation Demonstrated ability to achieve results and meet deadlines with minimal direction Effective time management and ability to multitask High level of initiative, motivation and enthusiasm Excellent attention to detailInternet and other database research skills Education: Bachelor Degree required.
