Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary Purpose: Provides daily work direction and guidance to a team of technical professionals delivering software components to maintain or enhance existing systems or deliver new software systems. Provides functional analysis and technical integration consulting and solution implementation expertise for existing and new software systems. Partner with business clients and IT infrastructure groups to develop technical solutions to automate or solve business need. Software Team Leads are also contributing team members and individual contributors to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications, providing specialized technical or business knowledge to the project. In addition to Leadership responsibilities, those in this position are responsible for developing and maintaining systems which support business operations and which utilize a variety of computing architectures (e.g., Internet, Intranet, cloud-based, mobile, etc.). They collaborate with company customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present solutions. Incumbents act as internal consultants, providing technical guidance or business process expertise on the most complex projects or researching strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint. Individuals in this job position are competent to perform or integrate work at a high level within this job family, working at an in-depth level within a technical or business area. They are familiar with project management techniques and often lead projects and subprojects. They have good coaching skills. Software Team Leads identify causes and implement solutions to business problems in a multifunctional project, assessing and communicating issues of technology impact on the business. They also apply a broad knowledge of various technical functions to accurately anticipate organizational impacts. Incumbents must understand the procedures and expected system performance associated with the introduction of new information technologies, while seeking ways to collaborate with other members of Corporate Center IT staff to facilitate transitions. They share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery. Duties and Responsibilities: Leadership: Provides daily work direction, including guidance on solutions, standards and procedures. Prioritizes work to ensure focus on high value tasks. Performs other team guidance and assists with goals, coaching and performance appraisals. May work in conjunction with outsourcing functions. Fosters and maintains relationships with clients, colleagues and team. Provide technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area, usually as a member of a project team, in analysis, design, and development of business applications. Consulting: Performs consulting services and recommends solutions. Includes complex business problems requiring in depth review of variable factors. Project Management: Manage Software Development projects following standard IT Product Lifecycle project management methodology. Major project activities managed include concept and business case development, solution selection, design and implementation of business-driven technology solutions. Software Component Integration: Leverage services and other new technologies to integrate legacy and new software components. Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties). External Qualifications: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, engineering or management information systems required. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) a plus. 4-8 years project management experience. PM experience should include managing multiple small to medium projects or manage a large project of $500k; managing 1 large cross-functional projects and project budget management. Resource management experience including matrix management and multi-cross functional groups. Experience coaching and mentoring team members. Experience managing 1-3 vendors including procurement, contract development, negotiations and contract management. Project management for strategic development and implementation a plus. Experience in application development using Adobe ColdFusion version 8 , open Source CFML, jQuery, Javascript and PERL. Experience with Fusebox a plus. Hands on Experience with SQL Server 2008 and Oracle 11 Web Server: Microsoft IIS, Apache/Tomcat Knowledge of API/web services using REST/JSON and SOAP/XML a plus. Experience with SharePoint Online, no-code application development tools, Office 365, and Analytics utilities is a plus. Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Business Objects Enterprise a plus. Knowledge of NodeJs a plus. Knowledge of IT Product Lifecycle and supporting IT Processes required. Strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical matters in business terms. Strong negotiation skills a plus.
