Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities Media Experience: This position will direct the activities of the Nissan Division Media Team on market & model-specific initiatives, including but not limited to: Lead for Market-Specific Programs: RMP Structure; Flex Fund; Titan Flex Fund and related programs. Market-Specific Analysis & Recommendations: Analysis such as: Consumer Media Trends, Market Performance, Media Performance; Recommendations by DMA/Region based on Analysis. Model-Specific Analysis & Recommendations: Analysis such as: Model Target Consumer use of media; Model Media Plan Recommendation/Aggregation; Model Plan Performance Tracking & Optimization Recommendations; Model Client Leadership: Agency Media Team Lead for NNA Market & Model-Specific meetings, communication materials, ongoing media performance-tracking (in partnership with Insight Mktg). Team Leadership: Annual Planning: Lead the Zimmerman Nissan Division Media Team in the development of annual strategic media recommendations to Nissan for assigned areas of responsibility (on prior page). Zimmerman Direct Media Division reports: AMD/Supervisor RMP Model Strategy Planner RMP Model Strategy Jr. Planner RMP Model Strategy AMD/Supervisor RMP Market Strategy Planner RMP Market Strategy This position is responsible for managing these positions day-to-day, ensuring that each position is trained and delivers on the established priorities and projects on time & to the highest quality for Nissan. Ongoing- External: Agency Media Lead for NNA MarComm meetings and communication re: MARKET and MODEL-specific initiatives (e.g.- NNA Model Integration Meetings, NNA Launch Committee Meetings, Maintain Client-facing MODEL-level Media Plans in partnership with OMD). Ongoing- Internal: Work collaboratively with other Zimmerman Departments to provide market & model level strategic media recommendations. Track & make recommendations for optimizations for Market & Model-Specific efforts. Work proactively with staff to continuously provide proactive communication & materials with market & model-specific updates to the full Zimmerman Team. Other Zimmerman Departments: Work with the Insight Marketing Team, Strategy Team, HQ Account Team, Digital Account Team and/or Creative Team on identified cross-functional projects. Keep excellent and proactive communication with all groups in the Nissan Division at all times. Work with Insight Marketing Team and/or Lead Account Director(s) to proactively identify areas of MARKET and/or MODEL opportunity in media strategy and media plan development, develop those recommended media strategies & plans, then execute, monitor, optimize and report-out on those plans. Partner Agencies: Work with Annalect & OMD collaboratively to bring Omnicom one voice MODEL-based recommendations to Nissan. Work collaboratively with Nissan s agency partners, as needed. Example of Key Projects (but not limited to): Annual Planning- Defines FY18 RMP Program Structure (e.g.- RMP; Flex Fund; Titan Fund; DND Fund). Annual Planning- Defines with NNA & Nissan Regions & VP, Group AD- Key Strategic DMAs for Analysis. Deep dive market & media analysis; Potential for strategic test initiatives. Annual Planning- Works collaboratively with NNA & OMD to develop MODEL-LEVE plans for all Models. Quarterly- Defines FY18 Market Level strategic opportunities (e.g.- w/IM- Simon; BDI/CDI; REGGIE, etc.) Quarterly- Defines Cross-Channel Media Strategy & Media Mix Priorities by Market Category (e.g.- High Awareness, Low Conversion), that aligns with NNA goals & KPIs, supported by all Media Team Leads, Insight Marketing Team & Analytics Team Ongoing- Provides opportunistic, proactive recommendations- Leverages Media Tools to provide insights & opportunities to Field Strategy Team. Ongoing- Evaluates market sales, market consumer funnel measures, media performance- Develops Media Mix optimizations with Field Strategy Team, supported by Media Team Leads, IM & Analytics. Ongoing- Evaluates model sales, model consumer funnel measures, model media performance- Develops Media Mix optimizations with Field Strategy Team, supported by Media Team Leads, IM & Analytics. Ongoing- Primary contact for DMA level budget management, pacing & delivery (Coordinate with Field Team). Required Skills Requirements Bachelor s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience 15 years media planning experience, including Group Media Director (GMD) level Excellent presentation and writing skills Strong analytical and/or media research skills Proven ability to develop quality, well-conceived and successful media plans Experience directly managing a staff of 5 or more (larger staff experience preferred) Experience managing and coordinating inter-departmental efforts at the director and/or senior level Experience developing and maintaining strong client relationships MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word Experience with the following media planning tools: Media Tools, IMS, Simmons/MRI, Kantar, ComScore, Scarborough, Media Monitors, Nielsen and other media tools. Experience in automotive and/or retail consumer or service products is highly desirable Full service agency or major media agency experience The responsibilities are many, various, and not limited to those written in this document.
