Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The position offers meaningful (and increasing) responsibility in technology-related intellectual property disputes. While the majority of such disputes are patent-based (in the district courts, ITC and PTAB), the work also involves trademark (district court and TTAB), trade secret and copyright disputes. Responsibilities will include junior-to-mid level work such as legal research; crafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and related documents; coordinating prior art searches and investigations; assisting with document collections and reviews; taking and defending depositions or assisting with same; preparing presentations for clients and tribunals. The position likely would also entail other patent work in mechanical-related technologies, electronics and computer software. Responsibilities might also include preparing and prosecuting patent applications; drafting opinions and other advice letters to clients; providing due diligence support; and/or drafting IP transaction documents (e.g., licenses). Academic and Professional Qualifications J.D. degree or equivalent.
