Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary responsibilities include management of projects and campaigns aimed at: 1)Creating public demand for licensed apparel and non-apparel product 2)Increasing the number of retailers that carry licensed product 3)Growing existing Wildcat retailers commitment to the amount of product carried MEASURES OF SUCCESS 1)Annual royalty growth 2)Increased number of online and brick and mortar retailers 3)Increase in the number and amount of licensed product carried per retailer as measured through average wholesale dollars per retailer KEY PARTNERS UA Retailers Collegiate Licensing Company, UA s Licensing Agent UA Marketing & Communications/Brand Management Arizona Athletics UA Licensees Trademarks & Licensing supports the UA s diversity and inclusiveness strategic initiatives designed to create an inclusive environment for all faculty, staff, and students. The candidate is expected to support diversity and inclusiveness efforts in the department and college. Duties & Responsibilities ADMINISTRATIVE Manage the design approval process - monitor marks use through the critique artwork/designs submitted by licensees for product/service application and provide recommendations or approval. Manage administrative support functions for the trademark and licensing office including phone traffic, responding to email and meeting with prospective licensees. Interpret policies, guidelines and procedures concerning trademark use by the university community, licensees, businesses, and individuals. Monitor IMG College Licensing s administrative process of licensing vendors and quarterly reporting. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT Manage relationships with all on-campus entities. These include but are not limited to; the University Bookstore, student groups, student sport clubs, campus departments and colleges. Manage campus/local retail relationships, helping position those retailers for success. Assist in the planning and execution of annual campaigns and long-term programs for increasing the exposure of UA licensed product in the consumer marketing place locally and nationally and growing the consumer demand. Assist in communication links between the University, Licensing Agent, Licensee, and Distributors/Retailers to promote the increase in sales or UA and resulting revenue return to the institution. Together with UA Licensing Director, evaluate product lines for quality and liability exposure, marketing ability and distribution strategies, financial performance, along with the industry reputation of prospective licensees.
