Construction Project Manager

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The construction project manager will: meet with customer and develop job scope, identify asbestos/lead/environmental issues, identify structural/electrical/plumbing needs and conflicts, prepare cost estimate, prepare working drawings, procure all materials necessary to complete the work, load all essential job information into work management database (AiM) Selected applicant will also communicate job status and progress with stakeholders and be expected to identify and resolve construction issues quickly and efficiently, communicate effectively with trades workers and team members. Once complete, close out project, prepare as built drawings/sketches/data, ensure all invoices are received and processed and take before and after photos. Other Work/Responsibilities Minimum Experience/Education Departmental Required Skills Proficient with Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project. Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education 1-3 years experience in construction industry, specifically renovation experience in a university, laboratory, medical or other institutional setting. Required License or Certification A valid drivers licence is required for the position and must be obtained by start date and maintained during assignment.
