Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Description of the Position :The Business Risk and Control Manager Position will be responsible the oversight, reporting, and management of the Americas Investment s risk, control and regulatory processes. The position is located in New York and will be responsible for Management Control Assessment (MCA) process and BRCC, coordination of information security, development / enhancement of control metrics, and implementation of any new regulations impacting the Investment business. The candidate will also be tasked with developing and working on ad hoc regulatory projects to improve the efficiency of product, risk, operational and. The role will be the liaison with both the Global and the regional Investments Risk and Control teams. The Americas Investments Business Risk and control head will also be responsible to implement key policies and procedures for the entire Americas investments organization and will also own the relationship with Compliance. The Americas Investments Manager will also work in close partnership with the Supervisory structure and provide back up when required. The Americas Investments Manager will report directly to the Americas Investments COO and will be based in NY Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: BRCC, MCA reporting and the coordination of testing - key objective is to ensure all gaps identified are address CAP management; ensure all CAPS are properly opened, and closed on a timely manner. Global Projects impacting Americas Investments Manage Errors, Losses and Complaints - define and ensure corrective actions are implemented Manage the relationship with Compliance: Ensure new rules and regulations are implemented Support the SP structure and the entire Americas Investments Organization team on closing and addressing all compliance memos received. Key Point of contact for Audit Responsible for RNDIP Candidates should have an in-depth working knowledge of risk management, investment product trade flows and operational processes, information security practices and controls. The candidate should have experience in project management and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues to senior management and partners in Legal, Operations, and Compliance. Relevant 7 years of experience in Financial Services Industry 5 years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience Series 7 and 24 (Or Equivalent) required. Other Series desirable Ability to influence others without having a direct reporting Strong verbal and written communication skills required Superior inter-personal skills and decision making judgment Team building and problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure to complete responsibilities within identified deadlines. Have an in-depth knowledge of investment products, capital markets, broker-dealer and registered investment advisor end-to-end operational processes. Highly motivated self-starter, results-driven and teamwork oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work efforts. Strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills.
