Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The CTO will be responsible for supporting all technical aspects of the AFNCR Enterprise and will directly support the 844th Communications Group s technical vision and technology development, and provide innovation technologies supporting the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, and the greater National/Capitol Region. Primary duties include leading strategy development for technology platforms, research and development support, and support of special projects regarding technology. The CTO shall supervise software testing, and information systems security and maintenance. The CTO shall support AFNCR efforts to anticipate and react to major industry technology changes Serves as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as business, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the various sciences. Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Master s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science CISSP certification Cloud certification Security 8570 certification PMP certification Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting operations centers supporting 15,000 or more customers and integrating service providers for a blend of basic and premier customers. Desired Skills and Experience: High energy and initiative with an in-depth understanding of the USAF mission, specifically within the National Capitol Region Familiarity with such topics as Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Alternate Operating Locations (AOL) Ability to collaborate with counterparts in other organizations and at senior levels due to variety of contracts, customers and mission areas supported.
