Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Position Summary: The Business Development Coordinator will support business development and marketing activities for the Irvine, Los Angeles and San Diego offices, providing day-to-day support to the attorneys and Business Development Managers. The ability to work independently and take initiative is a must. Responsibilities: Events - assist with identifying opportunities to position and raise the profile of the firm and attorneys; planning and organization of client networking events, seminars, conferences, and trade shows; staffing events where appropriate which may require after hours and overtime. Communications - support the production of client communications before and after events; and assist with the production and distribution of client briefings and other thought leadership materials such as PowerPoint's and handouts. Research & Analysis - identify potential clients and new areas of business; and conducting competitor, client and marketplace analysis. Information Management - manage relevant contact lists within InterAction CRM database. Supporting strategic client relationships - support business development leads in developing and implementing strategic business development plans. Understanding the firm's business and attorneys' practice areas - working closely with the attorneys and Business Development Manager to become familiar with the firm's offerings, clients and markets. Requirements: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred Minimum of two years' prior work experience in a law, financial, or professional services firm; prior business development/marketing experience preferred. Superior client service skills demonstrated through Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to work independently Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to work as part of a team and with lawyers of all seniority levels Ability to work under pressure and to manage competing needs Proactive and positive approach Commitment to quality and attention to detail Analytical and research skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook; proficiency in InterAction or CRM systems preferred.
