Job Responsibilities and Requirements: DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibility for maintaining the enterprise data architecture vision, strategy, principles, and standards. Will assist the ETL Lead in creating Source to Target documents in mapping report needs to the database entities. Perform impact analysis of source system projects and analysis of new source systems. Essential Job Functions: - Maintain enterprise data management strategies, guiding principles, processes and standards. - Develop Logical Data Model based on requirements and develop Physical Data Model (PDM) from the LDM. - Assist ETL Architect in developing source to target mapping. - Assist Cognos Lead in mapping report requirements to data model. - Coordinate the capture of the business metadata for the EDW project. - Mention EDW team, BI team and end users on the value and implications of data. - Responsible for setting up and administering all database objects for the EDW and Datamart Erwin models. - Ensuring models are in compliance with Naming Standards & Metadata Standards. - Source System of Record data analysis and preliminary source to target design. - Work with Informatica ETL developers for ETL & DBA for Physical DDL creation & Cognos Report Developers in Report development, Report Metadata, etc. - Assist in Data Quality research and UAT. REQUIRED SKILLS: - Minimum 6 years combined in general data warehouse / business intelligence report application development. - Minimum three solid Data Modeling- designing, developing, and administering Erwin. - Minimum six (6) years RDBMS development, strong SQL skills, and an understanding of relational data marts using a star schema design. - Ability to manage small projects (i. e. , upgrades) and perform necessary communication and coordination to end user and developer community. - Ability to write technical and business documents as well as produce and deliver presentations. - Strong relationship building skills with Team Members and Business Users. - Solid principles of Customer Service and Teamwork.
