Job Responsibilities and Requirements: More specifically, Corporate Credit develops, maintains and ensures adherence to enterprise-wide credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures that are aligned with Board-approved risk appetite. The position works in a support function in the commercial real estate department. In conjunction with Group Head and leaders of its professional service lines, it collaborates with internal professional staff, vendors, account officers, attorneys & management to ensure we consistently provide a quality product to our partners and customers within agreed upon service levels. The Role provides support for 3 types of due diligence work: Appraisals, Construction, and Environmental. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively partner and influence executive leadership while also ensuring the business runs efficiently, supports the customer needs and always remains in compliance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for complex technical construction cost estimates and consulting with Relationship Managers. Provides the highest level of engineering consulting by reviewing project drawings, specifications, soil engineering reports, budgets, contracts, Property Condition Assessments, Seismic reports and other project documents. Performs upfront Cost Analysis on complex commercial construction projects. Evaluates and reviews third party consultant technical reports for adequacy and conformance to industry standards. Reviews and approves inspection reports and draw requests for adequacy, potential issues and determines if there are sufficient funds remaining in the budget to complete the project. Reviews technical data to identify potential construction risks. Makes recommendations to Relationship Managers regarding potential issues and funding of draw requests. Act as a construction consultant to Relationship Managers. Manage vendor panels to ensure geographic coverage and knowledge specialties. Conducts peer reviews and provides training to lower level consultants. May assist in the development of policies and procedures. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of collateral construction experience Desired Qualifications: Construction, architecture, or engineering experience Extensive knowledge and understanding of construction and construction lending issues Knowledge and understanding of construction and construction lending Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills Good attention to detail and accuracy skills Ability to provide strong customer service while listening, eliciting information efficiently, comprehending, and resolving complex customer issues Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
