Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Seeking one associate with 4-7 years of prior intellectual property and trademark experience to join our Intellectual Property practice section in our Raleigh, NC or Richmond, VA office. This position requires 4-7 years of prior intellectual property and trademark experience, including acquisition and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights, trademark portfolio management, prosecuting trademark applications and other transactional matters. Experience with intellectual property disputes, including in state and federal courts, before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and before arbitral panels in domain dispute resolution proceedings, as well as software licensing and e-commerce is highly desired. Academic training in electrical, chemical, and/or software engineering, or closely related field is a plus. Successful candidates will have excellent writing and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines. Candidates should be licensed to practice law in the state for the office to which they apply (North Carolina or Virginia) or have the ability to immediately waive in.
