Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities Provide analytical support for departmental functions including development of the three-year financial plan, annual operating budget, monthly forecasts, capital project analysis, and other performance analysis. Assist the Pottery Barn cost center with preparing month-end accruals, identifying and researching P&L variances, and helping non-financial staff to understand accrual-based accounting methodology. Investigate, analyze, and present recommendations regarding various special projects related to business operations from a broader corporate scope. Identify cost saving and profit maximizing opportunities to improve current processes, and to provide more meaningful information to key decision-makers. Manage the invoice tracking and payment process, including invoice resolution with A/P and vendors. Assist business partners with adhering to all company accounting policies. Complete ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and other special projects. Help improve forecasting accuracy across the Pottery Barn brand by improving consistency in assumptions and methodologies. Communicate complex theories in a clear, concise way, with superior customer service. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. 2+ years experience in finance. Demonstrative analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of ownership and follow-through, and ability to independently achieve deadlines. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Excel. Experience in Lawson and Hyperion a plus. Experience in Retail Finance preferred.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
