Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Accounts Payable and Purchasing Supervisor manages the day to day operations of both Accounts Payable and Purchasing areas. Responsibilities include: Overseeing the weekly processing of Accounts Payable invoices Overseeing the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors Participating in unit meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job function Planning and scheduling workload of Accounts Payable staff ensuring equitable distribution of assignments and adequate maintenance of department files Keeping up to date on compliance with Federal and State regulations concerning reportable 1099 payments. Enforcing requirements for proper W9 forms from vendors Reviewing and monitoring Purchase Requisitions and assists with creating and tracking purchase orders Additional responsibilities Developing initiatives to handle recurrent issues in the department Obtaining price quotes from multiple suppliers Keeping track of upcoming contract expirations and work on contract renewals, bids, etc. Reviewing staff work and ensuring accuracy and completeness in terms of approval, cost center and general ledger as well as sales tax applied Working with various departments on special projects Developing a good rapport with our vendors Updating and maintaining vendor database Keeping track of supply costs Skills/Qualifications Bachelor degree in Business Management or other relevant major 2 years of banking experience with at least 1 year at an Operations Supervisor level or above Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills to balance and prioritize work Must be detail oriented and with proven track record of accuracy Knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word Deadline driven with a proven ability to adapt Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, clients and upper management.
