Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Account Executive position is responsible for the project management, marketing execution, Point of Sale support, campaign analysis, and budget reconciliation for the Comcast team. Reporting to the Account Manager, responsibilities include liaising with Comcast corporate marketing and HBO affiliate marketing, routing tactical feedback for approval, proactively developing and subsequently analyzing marketing strategy, and working closely with our team of 5 Sales Development Executives. The Account Executive may also work with subject matter experts in a wide variety of departments at HBO and the distributor, including Marketing, Product, Tech Ops, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Affairs to support the development of marketing, sales and business initiatives designed to drive subscriber and revenue growth. Candidate should have experience with project management, negotiating, some financial analysis, and understanding of the point of sale landscape, and new media and emerging technologies. A successful candidate will be able to lead with integrity, resilient in an environment of fast-paced change, highly collaborative, and have strong organizational and analytical skills. Individual will function with some autonomy and in a team environment. Some travel required. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: With guidance from the Director and Account Manager, execute and evaluate sales and marketing strategies that support the goals and objectives of HBO and the Distributor Collaborate with account leadership on negotiated budgets related to Distributor marketing and sales activity to determine ROI and oversee invoice/payment process and reconciliation Serve as project lead on specific acquisition, upgrade and retention marketing campaign tactics (direct mail, online, print ads, television media, emails, social media and telemarketing) Work closely with the Sales Development Executive team to reinforce ongoing Point of Sale strategy, develop and execute incentives, and initiate training opportunities Establish, cultivate, and leverage relationships with multiple Distributor contacts, both physical and virtual Effectively and efficiently communicate and collaborate with internal cross functional teams (Marketing, Legal, Social, VOD, Digital, Point of Sale, etc.) as well as with the Distributor With Account Manager s direction, assist with all aspects of segmented markets for Distributor (Latino, Special Markets, HBO Products, Online and Social, Retail, Mobile) Participate in strategy planning meetings and prepare/present HBO and Cinemax programming presentations Gather and report insightful industry and account intelligence to team and leadership Develop understanding of national multichannel video programming distributor landscape and become an expert on assigned Distributor Develop working knowledge of internal applications and databases associated with tracking clients, campaigns, and budget REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor s degree required Exceptional interpersonal skills Highly developed organizational, planning and analytical capabilities with tactical execution Excellent writing skills 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, business development, budget management, Point of Sale experience and/or new media; preferably in cable, high-tech or web-centric businesses Cable, Satellite, Telco or Digital media industry experience preferred Proficient software and hardware knowledge required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media applications and mobile/streaming devices.
