Patent Prosecution Associate

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: An immediate opening in our San Diego office for an associate with 1-3 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses, and supporting IP due diligences, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters related to small molecule pharmaceuticals. Qualified candidates will ideally have an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years industry experience) in chemistry, with a strong emphasis in organic or medicinal chemistry, be registered to practice at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and be admitted to a State Bar (California preferred).
