Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Field Audit Manager position has a large direct and indirect span of control, and is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on audits with complex and technical processes in the district offices. This position assists the Vice President, Internal Audit with evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of the system of internal controls. In this position you will maintain effective working relationships with district and senior management while understanding and keeping current on all significant operating, financial and information technology activities. Perform reviews of selected agents field collection activities to provide reasonable assurance that collection activities are completed properly, accurately and timely and to ensure that the policyholder records and company data are in agreement. You will also make certain that planning, fieldwork, and reporting comply with departmental policies and internal audit standards. Position Requirements: 7+ years of related audit work experience (with 3+ years of audit work experience in Kemper Home Service Companies a plus). Must be able to handle 50-75% travel (with Remote/Home office setup provided). Ideal candidate will live near a regional airport hub. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, including the ability to influence others and work with all levels of management. Bachelor s degree or equivalent related work experience; concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration required. FLMI, CFE, or other relevant certification is required. Expert understanding of operational, financial, and regulatory risks and risk mitigation. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, written and oral presentation skills, and ability to work in a changing environment. Ability to be flexible with work hours as necessary to meet deadlines.
