Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Assist with coordination and the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of IP software. Troubleshoot software performance issues and ensure compliance with technology security objectives. Review and test all business systems and programs prior to implementation. Provide user-level technical support to timekeepers, staff and clients, either directly or indirectly, and tracking of outstanding IQ Track support requests and/or projects. Assist with analyzing business, user and client needs, documenting requirements and translating into proper system requirement specification. Monitor and coordinate system updates, including yearly Patricia database and quarterly country law updates through completion. Coordinate creation and updates to workflows, new terms, new diary fields, reports, etc. and update/maintain diary matrix, Blue Horse, etc., through completion. Monitor system integrity, investigate inconsistencies and make recommendations for proper quality improvement. Coordinate and assist with the creation of SQL queries for custom reporting, system integration, data migration and automated database functions, as needed. Coordinate and assist with the importation and extraction of data from multiple sources into SQL tables for data comparisons and reporting purposes, as needed; create and maintain reports in SQL reporting services, as needed. Coordinate and assist with the development and deployment of Microsoft Reporting Services Reports (SSRS), as needed; provide technical support for SSRS business applications, as needed; assist with testing and quality assurance activities with data extracts, research and analysis. Support client-access portals, working with Technology Support in assigning access codes and granting access to data; regularly review and ensure accuracy of client data; assist in training new portal users. Assist with the development and maintenance of operational manuals and training materials related to all IP technology processes, procedures, service lines and metadata in clear and concise language; assist with training programs for staff and timekeepers. Act as an information resource for Technology Services and outside vendors in relation to requirements and usage of practice-specific technology on assigned projects, including the Patricia implementation. Assist with monthly practice tips on the rules and/or practices of the U.S. and worldwide patent and trademark offices. Assist with additional duties as assigned by the IP Technology Systems Manager and other firm management.Qualifications B.A/B.S degree is highly preferred. Related work experience may be used in lieu of formal education Minimum four-year college degree. Related work experience may be used in lieu of formal education. Minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience supporting IP technology infrastructure. Must have familiarity with patent and trademark terminology. Proficiency in PATRICIA docketing databases or other similar docketing software package. Some docketing knowledge, highly preferred. Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, including demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with often competing deadlines. Proven problem-solving skills and good judgment under pressure. Respect for confidentiality of employee information. Ability to accurately interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form; to synthesize complex and diverse information. Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff and timekeepers is essential. Reliability, flexibility and dependability essential.Additional InformationSalary Range: $85k - $90KI'm interested.
