Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: The Assistant General Counsel provides legal services to clients at various levels in the corporation. The primary responsibilities of this position will be managing the intellectual property (IP) matters of the Company and advising on privacy and data security matters. Services will include transactional documentation and negotiation, legal and factual investigation, research and analysis, counseling, and regulatory advice. Qualifications: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school Minimum 10 years post-law school relevant experience at top tier law firm and/or corporate legal department Admitted to practice law in Florida or qualify as authorized house counsel CIPP, CISSP or similar professional certification preferred, but not required Other Information: Global patent and trademark practice experience, including patent litigation and patent portfolio development, licensing and enforcement in a corporate context Proficient in both verbal and written communications to the extent that he or she is able to convey thoughts, concepts, positions, and arguments in a clear, concise, professional, and effective manner appropriate to the audience and circumstances Must demonstrate ability to effectively manage a high volume of assignments and work independently and as part of a team Analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Pay, Benefits and Work Schedule: Office Depot and Office offers.
