Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Develops the vision, tactical components and strategy for business relationship management and champions them across the organization to achieve goals Represents the District in key partnerships across the FR; leads/participates in advisory board to manage IT services demand Utilizes deep understanding of technology-driven businesses, including technical components and modern application development processes Enables the transition from a service-based to value-based IT organization Communicates business partner needs and priorities in collaboration to service providers and provides feedback on pricing and investment Enables processes that improve relationship maturity with business partners and service providers through innovation and experimentation Owns designated processes and is accountable for ensuring that established processes are followed Works with stakeholders and governance body to define a prioritized set of business outcomes and/or project work within allocated budget Tracks and takes appropriate steps to stay within budget Continuously leads, motivates and coaches a diverse team and creates transparency with the team through open communication Provides ongoing feedback on individual performance that is aligned to departmental/organizational goals Actively supports career development of team, providing regular and ongoing feedback on performance, including guidance, direction, and advice Supports succession planning, including identification, assessment, development planning and review of successors Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or a related field Typically has 10 years of relevant IT and business work experience with expert knowledge of one process/service including 7 years of experience in successfully managing/leading and coaching teams Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment as well as external vendors and service providers Requires strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources Demonstrated track record of being accountable, strategic and customer centric Demonstrated experience in effectively building relationships and trust in both IT and business environments Certified Business Relationship Manager certification will be required within the first year in the position Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or hold a permanent resident status/ green card with intent to become a U.S. Citizen Preferred: Certified Business Relationship Manager certification strongly preferred, will be required within the first year Experience in the following: Development and implementation of processes and policies Financial accounting and reporting practices applicable to IT solutions, costs and risks IT contracts and their likely cost implications IT applications, operations, service and support organizations Data processing, analysis and quality management tools Development and implementation of processes and policies Masters degree.
