Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities Manage a team that researches, tests, and deploys of a diverse set of data science models. Mentor and provide career guidance to the diverse members on your team. Collaborate with peers, within and outside the team, to help find the models and insights that will be most effective in changing consumer behavior. Deliver compelling products within a contemporary data architecture. Become recognized inside and outside engineering as a subject matter expert. About You You have 5 years experience as a software engineer or data scientist working in Python, Java, or Scala. You re a solid engineer who s comfortable working with data scientists or vice-versa. You have managed direct reports or are eager to do so. You have worked in agile environments and can lead a team through daily standups, estimation, and other agile processes. You take ownership of product areas that you touch and encourage your team to do the same. You communicate well with engineers and non-engineers alike. You stay on the cutting edge of technology. Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
